What is a Payment Gateway?
A payment gateway is an intermediary that authorises online payments and facilitates the transfer of funds from one person to another. We are not a Payment Gateway, we like to think of ourselves as a Payment Facilitator, bringing online payment to the masses. We integrate with a Payment Gateway to facilitate payments to you. Currently, we only offer Stripe as a payment gateway, but plan to increase our offering with time.

Using Stripe as an example, when a customer chooses to make a card payment via your website, Tascuro generates a secure payment form on your website for your customers to supply their card details. The card details are then sent to Stripe directly and are never stored or even transmitted via your website or Tascuro.com (this maintains PCI compliance ). Stripe then authorises the payment with the customers bank and requests that the amount is transferred to Stripe’s merchant account. Stripe conducts fraud checks, and we’ve enabled 3DSecure to pass fraud liability to the card issuer. Then the funds are released to your bank account.

This route means you do not require an expensive merchant account, any current account will work!

Tascuro is made aware of every payment, we generate invoices as necessary, receipts and track all income processed through the platform.

The gateways will always be Test Mode accounts via Tascuro SANDBOX and Live Mode otherwise.
